Hampton Inn opens in Shenandoah Valley tomorrow
Part 2 in a series of places to stay in the Shenandoah Valley:
Woodstock – Folks have another great place to stay in the Shenandoah Valley now. Tomorrow, on Monday, October 19, the new Hampton Inn & Suites will open its doors in historic Woodstock, VA – near Interstate 81 and Route 11 (Old Valley Pike.)
Billie Jo Carter, General Manager is excited to be “in business” after all of the preparations over the past year: “We invite people all over the region to come out on to the Valley, and be treated to our friendly Valley hospitality”
Great Amenities
With an indoor heated pool, 92 rooms (including 30 luxurious suites), and wireless Internet, the Hampton Inn/Woodstock is the newest, most exclusive hotels in the Shenandoah Valley. This new hotel is located in the quaint, historic town of Woodstock, and is central to many of the Valley’s breathtaking and unique attractions, including Skyline Drive; Shenandoah National Park; Endless, Crystal, Luray, and Shenandoah Caverns; and many Civil War battlefield sites. Business clients will also appreciate the complete Business Center, Executive Board Room, and state-of-the-art meeting room facilities.
The hotel – the first Hilton property to be built within 50 miles – is on the southeast corner of Interstate 81 and Route 42 in Woodstock. It sits just a few miles from the famous Old Valley Pike (Route 11) that sports a number of unique restaurants and antique shops, close to the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.
Many special festivals take place nearby all year long, especially during the Fall as the leaves turn brilliant shades of crimson, orange, and bright yellow. Bryce, a vacation, retirement, and time share resort – complete with golf and ski facilities – is also within 15 miles.

Special Events
The new Hampton Inn & Suites will be hosting the Woodstock Chamber mixer on Tuesday, October 27 at 5:30 p.m., and their Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, November 13, from 4 pm until 8 pm. They’ll be tours of the building, guest rooms, meeting rooms, pool and fitness areas; free food; as well as music by local favorites, the Ricky and Amanda Wilkens Band.
Perhaps, the most fun of all: Don’t miss the complimentary horse & carriage rides, fueled by Sonny & Cher, a team of Belgian Draft Horses, who take guests on a November carriage ride through Woodstock neighborhoods, with views of mountains on either side.
