How to protect your child from Internet and Cellular Crime
Shenandoah County, VA – How do you protect your children and teens given today’s technology? Cell phone use is just one of the areas that will be discussed.
The Virginia State Police, the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Department and the Shenandoah County School District are sponsoring three Informational Meetings entitled, “Before they leap …Be aware, Be informed, Be a parent.”
These sessions have been developed to give parents and guardians the data they need about the growing problem of Internet and cellular crimes against youth.
The dates and locations are as follows:
- At Strasburg High School – November 10 at 6 p.m.

- At Central High School – November 12 at 6 p.m.

- At Stonewall Jackson High School – November 12 at 6 p.m.

Adults are asked not to bring children to the informational meetings as some of the materials may be inappropriate. The meetings are specifically designed for parents, guardians and other adults involved in teen and children’s lives.
