Winchester, VA – The Winchester Orchestra, under the direction of Maestro Andrew Gekoskie, will expand its concert season with additional Children’s programs, their first ever Family Event, Season Ticket Offers and exciting soloists.

In this, their second season, The Winchester Orchestra brings to the Shenandoah Valley, Panhandle of West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania a wide variety of classical concerts, children’s programs, education programs and community projects for every age and socio-economic level. Enjoy WO’s concerts while experiencing the beauty and history of the Shenandoah Valley. Featured this season – a Beethoven Festival and our first ever Family Event.

The only fully professional orchestra in the region, the musicians from the WO are very much in demand and also perform with the National Symphony, Wolf Trap Opera, Maryland Symphony and Fairfax Symphony, to name a few.

Just this past year the WO staff and musicians participated in the “Orchestras Feeding America Project” for the Winchester Community by securing food donations for the Blue Ridge Food Bank. Our true sense of “community” will bring the unparalleled excellence of the Winchester Orchestra to you as we are “So Close You Can Hear It”.

Hello, I just now found your website whilst I’m hunting around online as I am researching some material on electric cellos!. I think it’s a good blog so I bookmarked your site and will return tomorrow to enjoy a proper read when I can give it more time.
