Woodstock, VA – See updated information at end of article.
It’s breast cancer awareness month, and Shenandoah Memorial Hospital (SMH) is hosting a Pink Tea next Wednesday, October 28, 2009.
Invitations read: “Come join us to remember those who have passed and celebrate the lives of survivors.”
There will will be information on breast cancer, as well as tours of the new Digital Mammography machine – which allows a radiology technician to verify that the X-rays have indeed been satisfactorily taken before a woman leaves the hospital. SMH started using the new technology about two weeks ago.
The event will be held in the afternoon from 2 to 4 p.m. There will be refreshments, drawings and fellowship, and everyone is invited.
“Fight Like A Girl” t-shirts will be available for purchase.
Directions: At the Woodstock, Virginia exit, go to Route 11 – Turn north and proceed to Bowman Avenue. Go in the Main Entrance of the hospital and follow the signs.
SMH is owned by parent company, Valley Health.
For more information, call the Radiology – Mammography department at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital: (540) 459-1207.
