Unidentified body discovered in Kerr Lake

Tattoo 11-2009UNIDENTIFIED BODY DISCOVERED IN KERR LAKE

The Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an unidentified body that was discovered floating in Kerr Lake near Crescent Lane, Clarksville, VA on Saturday, November 21st. This investigation is being handled as a homicide.

The body is that of a white male, possibly between the age of 35 to 50. The victim was wearing blue jeans, a canvas belt and a pair of black Nike tennis shoes. No identification was found on the body.

There is a tattoo on his right shoulder of a Doberman Pinscher’s head with the word “CAPONE” and the date 2-14-92 tattooed under the dog’s head. (See Picture)

The body was sent to the Medical Examiner’s Office, in Richmond, for autopsy and identification. The cause of death has been determined as blunt force trauma to the head.

The incident is still under investigation.
