Shenandoah Home and Garden Show to be biggest ever, April 16-18

February 3, 2010
By Susan Thompson

Harrisonburg, VA – The Home and Garden Show Committee of the Shenandoah Valley Builders Association (SVBA) are eagerly anticipating Spring, 2010 and the 30th annual edition of this famous show.  Everyone involved is busy working to make next year’s show the best ever. The show will be held April 16, 17 and 18, 2010 at the James Madison University (JMU) Convocation Center

After 29 years of success, and seeing this event gain fame in recent years throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, that’s a tall order. The show has grown so popular that the SVBA is now providing free shuttle service at convenient locations for all three days. Put this Spring event on your calendar now.

Once again the outdoor show will feature one of America’s premier hardscaping and landscaping exhibitions, a Spring Plant Sale, a Small Building Sale, dozens of exhibitors, and an old fashioned house-raising. SVBA builder members will be constructing an Energy Star and Earthcraft-certified house for Habitat for Humanity.  It will be transported to its permanent site for completion after the show.

See close up what “green building” really means and meet the experts. The 2010 outside show will also feature a beautiful custom sound stage from Helmuth Builders. Don’t miss the live charity auction and the opening ceremony.

The indoor show will be as spectacular as ever, with the region’s top home-related businesses filling the Convocation Center with eye-popping displays, special offers, free promotional giveaways and free drawings. The fun and excitement are infectious. Of course, we’ll once again have the huge Silent Auction display on the lower level that thousands of people look forward to every year. Proceeds benefit the programs of Massanutten Technical Center.

The Chairman of the 2010 Home and Garden Show Committee is Zack Snell.

Nice Design, can i will use your theme for my blog, great design, simple and clean…

ED: Thanks, we find it very useful for the type of site we have here, and thanks for noticing. The theme currently running on 7Bends is called Magazine Basic 2.5.6 and was designed by c.bavota. While we’ve made extensive changes and added our own styling touches, the “out-of-the-box” version is quite functional, as is.

You can find out more about c.bavota designs, including this one here: http://themes.bavotasan.com/

    Thanks for writing, JM.
